How it works
GOSI is a monthly contribution on the contributory wage (basic + housing), capped at SAR 45,000 and floored at SAR 1,500 for Saudis and SAR 400 for expats. Saudis have two shares — employee and employer; expats have only 2% occupational hazards paid by the employer.
Under the new system (Decree M/273) for those who first joined the workforce on/after 3 July 2024, the annuities rate rises 0.5% per side each July until it reaches 11%. A Saudi employee's share becomes about 10.75% and the employer's about 12.75% from July 2026 (including SANED and occupational hazards). Those who joined earlier stay on the old system: 9.75% employee and 11.75% employer.
